On the topic of jokes being repeated, I can't recall his name, but one comedian covered it by pointing out nobody yells 'sit down fat bastard, we've heard it' when Pavarotti gets on stage and sings.

Beer @ £4.55/pint (which is what I paid on Tuesday night) = £36.40/gallon!

But, yes, I concur........... & £46/gallon for primarily water
The tax on petrol/diesel is 52p/litre (I think?), so what is it on beer?
Fuel also has VAT in that cost, I presume beer doesn't??
