Perhaps I should join a running forum for more support.
Here's the situation, I was knocked off the bike last Wednesday, resulting in lots of cuts and bruises, a broken nose, skull fractures, three days in hospital, the wife wants me to stop cycling, which is probably the right call, my last serious off was ten years ago, I don't want another.
I will get rid of all the bikes so I am not tempted, but I will have to replace it with something, running came to mind, I have done lots in the past but not much since my off ten years ago, as I damaged my knee, I am old now 73, is it too late to revive my running career? I was an Orienteer for most of my life, that might be a way back in, also my son does park runs and suggested I try them, it all depends on the knees, there is nothing as exhilarating as running in the country side away from the roads, you never know I may venture back onto the fells, I did several fell races when younger always good fun, but maybe a step too far nowadays.
