I tried swinging the cat but smacked its head 4 times.
Oh, the place is huge, I just don't like cats.![]()
Me too! My phone ringtone is Dr Who's theme tune, if I get a text it's K9 saying "Danger Mistress" I admit I am a complete Dr Who geek!
So there is a woman who likes Doctor Who. You're already taken though. Assuming you also have an interest in science despite possibly not being qualified in it. "Sighs Whistfully"
took 10 episodes to tell a 5 episode story. other than that twas rather good.
Gave up on Torchwood. I stopped caring about the characters, which is always a bad sign.
Wife didn't (loves Sci Fi, science degree, but taken), and from her analysis, I'm glad that I stopped watching it.
Problem seems to be that RTD is great at characterisation, but dodgy on plot. Torchwood was too much plot and not enough character. Writing was at times good, but no where near tight enough - too many holes in the plot, story-line dead ends, and limited credibility. Which is a shame, as RTD can be a good writer.
That's the American way though, did you not see all 6 series of Lost?
Or the paint dryingly slow series 1 of Heroes?
RTD's biggest issue as I see it is that he loves to introduce sexual ambiguity into his characters. No doubt drawn from personal experience.
I completely disagree. I loved Heroes all the way through. Not every TV programme needs to be action packed all of the time.
