In a blizzard of crap timing, I have just sold my house in Cobbydale, so I'm either on the campsite, a mate's spare room or renting a Transit to kip in.
I know Addingham and Silsden have a put a lot of effort into making people feel welcome. Everything from the kids knitting little yellow jumpers(waves to Ned) to put in shop windows to our funky LED backlit TT rider on the church tower. The pubs have had their windows painted with bike murals and the beer will still be the same price as it always is. Every other lamp post has a painted yellow bike on it (apart from the white one which I had to explain to the lads in the pub).
Camping seems to be about £10 a night and parking about £8 for the day.
One miserable old fart is not representative of the rest of us. He probably needs the money to buy new string for his trousers.
