Hmmmm...

Red Leicester. Perfect all round eating and cooking cheese. Leave me in a room with a tonne of it, and I'd probably die, but die happy and very full of cheese.

Wensleydale with cranberries. Lovely cheese, lovely crumbly texture, plus counts as a portion of fruit.

Brie, or similar. Perfect for crackers.

Cottage, with pineapple. Low fat, spoonable, and see above for fruit justification.

Single Gloucester. Much more subtle than the Double, lovely flavour.

Feta. Especially cubed in a mix with olives.

So many to choose from....

ripe camembert
lanarkshire blue (very sharp blue cheese)
roquefort
warwickshire brie (unbelievably creamy)
and whatever it is that goes in fondue. I love fondue.

1. A good strong British Cheddar
2. Cheshire
3. Wensleydale
4. Parmegiano Regginao
5. White Stilton with Apricots

After that come the usual suspects of Brie & Camembert
Occasionally I will treat myself to a smidgeon of Danish Blue (Lovely with a fresh pear)
I utterly *loathe* Blue Stiliton. Blech...

Cheese is a definite occasional treat food for me. I love it but it goes straight to the 4r$3... so it has to be an occasional treat.

Just five?

Roquefort (has to be a really good one though - bad blue cheese of any kind tends to taste of ammonia). I like Gorgonzola and Stilton too, and Blue Swaledale...
Pecorino
Manchego (I prefer the more mature)
Swaledale Ewe's
Anything by Doddington's up in the north of Northumbria - Cuddy's Cave is lovely and the newer Admiral Collingwood is delicious.

I wish you'd all stop talking about cheese. I'm trying to cut down on it!

Anyway...

1. Strong cheddar
2. Stilton
3. Brie
4. Emmenthal
5. Roquefort
