The second, in bold, is set to be renamed the first.
They're not closing a Lloyds branch, just relocating it.
SO they effectively have 2 branchs on one high street at the moment
OK - makes sense

What's this thing you call a "bank branch"
I saw an article about one in a very old history book
Someone posted me cheque only yesterday, they don’t do ‘on-line’ banking. Now I have the feckin’ faff of paying it in.
I do have a cheque book. Can't remember when I last used it.
A while back, I saw someone walking into my local bank carrying one of those huge cheques that you see in photos when someone makes a charitable donation or something. I had always assumed they were just photography props and there would be a normal cheque to make the payment.
I don't think they are valid
but I could be wrong

I used to work as a PR for a supermarket that liked to give small donations to local groups.
We had a Big Cheque that could be wiped clean (I used to write it out!) for the pictures, then of course we gave the local causes representatives a real cheque to bank.

She had to go and spoil the notion that people were wandering around with oversized cheques, trying to pay them in to a bank account. So that's how they do it!
