I'm not sure if you're being serious, what does :P indicate?

BC is pro-helmet, though.

CTC membership is pretty worthless since it became a charity but at least you still get the 3rd party insurance.

i was a bit ambiguous, sorry. But I've written a lot here; what do YOU think about CUK's work for cyclists?
Disappointed.
I was interested in campaigning but there was little support. At the last area AGM I attended Campaigning wasn't even on the Agenda, I took it as a message and let my membership lapse after 20 years of living in hope:sad:.
Classic33 has translated the emoji for me, so I guess we are of similar mind.

I had thrird party insurance via a specialist company until a year or two ago when I found it was covered on the house insurance. I paid £10 (which also covered Europe), and since I only wanted 3rd party insurance with out any of the other "benefits" that 'CTC' provide, felt that it was a good deal.

May I make a suggestion, for those that want to continue CTC / CUK membership it maybe worth considering life membership. For years I used the 5 years for 4 years payment option. On suggestion of a club mate I checked the life membership calculator. This March I paid in effect less than 8 years senior rate in advance, I’m now a life member. I know some of you are muttering smug b*****d

If we are playing the image association game, British Cycling for me produces images of bullying and drugs. Only silver? More drugs.
I'd consider rejoining the ctc if i was convinced they did anything, and reversed this planned move.

Then your local group was sub-standard; what have BC done for your area?

What do you think of CUK's work nationally?
