Four or five years ago I went to a friend's house for Christmas drinks in the evening. I had to endure back to back episodes of the above, after having to endure the Christmas special first! That's where I developed a hatred of it. I didn't laugh once and to show my disdain of this so called comedy I sat there for hours with a stony face. Everyone else was roaring with laughter, either genuine or polite faux laughter, but I just could not bring myself to pretend that I found it funny!! Needless to say (thankfully) I wasn't invited back the following year.

The first series wasn't too bad, it told a story which came to a conclusion, unfortunately they couldn't leave it at that and had to drag it out and milk it for all that it wasn't really worth.

The popularity of James Corden is a complete mystery to me though as most people I know seem to think he's a complete gobshite.

Considering that it was supposedly written by him and Ruth Jones I think we can tell where the talent really lies.

I'm with you there milord Accy. Corden is a coarse, potty mouthed, fat, talentless lump of sheet. I was most distressed to hea he was returning to the the UK.

You're far too polite, I'd be quite happy for him to return though if only for him to pay his tax on his reputed earnings.

At least he'd be making a positive contribution for once.

Almost as crap as Benny Hill.

My word, the seventies were a bad time for comedy. The good news is that the seventies itself turned out to be hilarious.

Jesus, you'll be saying you don't like Dick Emery next

Oh you are awful, but I like you. 😂
