I doubt if there is any deep potholes on that route. He looked like a heavy guy as well.

You're wrong about the pot-holes. There are numerous and deep pot-holes around the Market Rasen area. Since the sad incident most have now been repaired. However, the standard of repair leaves a lot to be desired. IMHO they will not last more than a few months at best.

The cycle lanes around here don't seem to have been swept by the sit in cab sweeper for weeks. Yesterday i was avoiding small stones all the time. On more than one occasion i wobbled after going over them , and i fired one(the tyre's pressure not me ) at a passing car, it didn't half make a noise!
On the other hand i noticed that a bit of paint has been knocked off my car, probably by a cyclist innocently doing the same as me.

Councils! You are saving pounds, but putting our lives at risk! Please sweep the cycle lanes!!
