I would like these schemes to work, but have some doubts.
There was(is?) a scheme in Inverness, but the bikes looked in poor condition and had no luggage carrying capacity, also advance booking was required making the whole scheme fairly impractical.
In Copenhagen the bikes looked terrible and made terrible noises!! Neither feature made them attractive to potential users.
Does anyone have practical experience of these "rent a bike" schemes in the UK or abroad?
