A down hill bike is a 'racer'. A track bike is a 'racer'. A Brompton competing in a Brompton race is a 'racer'.

My FBRB. A Ribble winter frame, various bits from the spares heap, 34T chainring and 13-32T 8 speed cassette,
Later that day I attempted to ride home from the pub after a certain amount of falling-down water.
A certain amount of falling-down ensued, leaving me with a broken rear mech hanger, a few slightly crumpled spokes, arse-shaped damage to the rear mech and a rear mech shaped bruise.

It suits me. It gives me a comfy riding position, and a gear range that works for me around here. If I took it to the Alps I'd go bigger on the cassette.
