That IMO doesn’t say he did it to remember his father by. I think the father part was to tell the nutters who think he is glorifying guns, why that is not his intent.

I have and I still haven’t seen where he says it is to remember his father by. Maybe I’m too literal but it seems the mail have twisted his words IMO.

No. He has ‘clearly stated’ that this (unfinished) tattoo is to remember his father by. What part of his reasoning do you fail to understand?

Why else would he have a rifle tattooed on him if it wasn't to glorify guns? If he was a member of a shooting club i could understand it,but no,he's had it done to say he agrees with a "gangsta" criminal gun culture.

He doesn't need to glorify guns because his leg is his gun.

Yes but that's them interpreting the tweet from Sterling that Reg posted. Maybe its just me, noone else seems to have an issue with that interpretation.

The New Statesman has described the sudden obsession with Sterling's tattoo as 'borderline racist'. I think 'borderline' is a bit charitable, TBH.

But they are when that person is in the public eye. People are paying to watch him and some who pay to watch him will be offended by this tattoo. I'm not too sure but i think he's been picked for England's world cup squad for the finals in Russia. This tattoo is going to be seen by millions of worldwide tv viewers during close ups of "the action".

When he is in the public eye doing his job wouldn't his tattoo be covered by the knee high sock footballers need to wear?

No,i can't accept that. If that's so why not have a different type of tattoo that depicts his job? Maybe a bow and arrow would've been a better less controversial choice.
