We had our family Diesel Mk2 Focus for 10 years with not problems at all, only reason I sold it was because we needed a tow car.

Hoping I'll get anothet 10 trouble free years out of our Kuga, no reason to think otherwise.

Ah... When I meant engineering, I didn't mean the garage / reliability side, I meant the design and development side.

Get a Yaris. No unforseen bills or rust on these. We sold ours when it was 17 years old, and the fella that bought it loves it. Only £500

Lucky escape Accy, you already have a wild child rep amongst your fellow inmates, what with you kicking in doors and being a Lycra lout.
No way you would have survived there turning up in that asbo car

Not to mention my little mutt getting out the flat and running amok all over the building the other day. Then someone mentioned they could smell weed, but that definitely wasn't me! They're all in bed by around 10.30. They think i'm a weirdo because i stay up after midnight.

A mates daughter had one and when they sold it the buyer noticed a bulb was out. My mate spend half an hour trying to figure out how to fit a bulb, then gave the buyer a tenner back and told them to take it to a garage!

I changed a bulb on the KA I had, but only did the one, the next one that went I took to Halfords for them to sort out. You needed hands the size of a small childs hands and the dexterity of a contortionist and just to make it interesting there were lots of sharp edges in the space you were working in.

There is a top place near us which does MOT no questions asked for £50.

They even passed my VW Golf where some idiot had replaced part of the sill with wood which set on fire when I tried to cut it out.

Worth every penny.

Mmm,i don't think i'll bother with the one i tried today. According to these, this is what i would expect to pay for it.

If true, please report them.
Why? There are somethings that will fail an MOT which are in no way dangerous. And there are things that will pass an MOT but are dangerous. Perhaps the most dangerous are those who are oblivious to both for 11 months after each test.

I have no problem with paying £50 to skip a pointless exercise.

Why? Because one day perhaps they will blur the boundary between "safe fail" and "unsafe fail" and someone will get hurt. The MOT's there for a reason, despite your protestation of its pointlessness. I would have thought as a vulnerable road user you'd be in favour of it.

There's also the small matter that they are also acting illegally, knowingly passing vehicles that should fail.

A Streetka passed me this afternoon. I do like the look of them! Are you sure they're crap? I still fancy one. There's a bloke near me who has one,i might knock on his door and ask if they're good or bad.

Edit...but he might say they're good and offer to sell me his. When he really thinks they're crap but sees some mug who he could pass it onto?
