Have you actually used it as suspect I it will be like wearing a plastic bag. It one of these shops that always having a sell I bet most of the stuff has only been full price for long enough to make the legal requirements. It’s cheap for a reason.

Worn a good few times now, only for commute though. I've tried on enough expensive plastic bags, masquerading as waterproof cycling jackets, so I know what you mean. This jacket isn't one of them. It has underarm zipped vents but as weather is cool at present, they've stayed closed. Guess I'll find out how breathable it is when I put in the effort on wet summer days. It's at least showerproof but I've yet to be caught in a real downpour. I still consider it excellent value as a commuter cycling jacket at around £35.

I have been looking at the prices for a new battery for our Carrera CrossCity-e folding ebike

They are about £165 for the 2 pin version that ours uses

I thought I would have a look at how much the actualy bikes go for and there are quite a few going for almost nothing - like a few quid
"not tested as no battery or charger" and all that so it would be a risk
but if anyone wanted a cheap ebike then the battery should be OK
and at the price of used bikes you could afford to get a couple until you find one that works!!!

Tell me more please. Where can new batteries be obtained and can they be fitted into the frame easily? You're right about the cheap offers of these bikes with dud batteries. Definitely worth a punt if a new battery installation is possible. Thanks

They are a standard in-frame batter and I found several apparently decent suppliers on Ebay and the like

prices about £164 - £170

They come in 2 forms - the earlier ones like ours are the 2pin variant which I was looking at

but there is also a 5 pin version which may be a bit more

but anyway - a not too bad folding ebike for around £200 is not bad!

Just a note to acknowledge the concept that a bike on ebay with no battery or charger does sort of make you wonder if it has been nicked from a shed!!
Of course - it could just have been one where the battery lost all power like ours did but you do have to wonder!
