Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's back to work we go....

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Still signed off work for the best part of another fortnight....

(But beginning to think that I might actually be fit enough to go back to work then. And I suspect I'll be getting quite bored between now and then, as it'll be a few days yet before I'm able to walk comfortably for more than a few minutes, let alone ride or do anything more satisfying. Perhaps I'll see whether the library has anything interesting to read.)

Dropped micro User482 off for her first day at preschool (she waved me out the door - nice to feel wanted!) then had a very sketchy ride to work in the frost. I arrived to find an inbox full of urgent emails and appointments sent last week, the senders all apparently oblivious to my out of office message making it perfectly clear that I wasn't in until this morning. Easier, I think, to ignore the whole damn lot and have another coffee.

I'm up and making breakfast. Then it'll be back to bed with a coffee and take Jack out for a walk, before the long commute downstairs. I should find out whether I need to grace Hull with my presence tomorrow as well.
You go to bed and "take Jack out for a walk" - ha ha, I have never heard it called THAT before!

I will add that to my ever-growing list of euphemisms!

In a similar vein.... I had an email sent last week telling me not to arrive for 0900 today in France (as previously agreed) but due to production delays arrive late morning. This is a bit late when I've got up at 0315 to get there for 0900....
OK, my out of office does say I'll be back today, but I'm not going to trawl my emails before having to leave the house at Sparrow-fart....
Anyhow. Trial has been postponed until 0530am tomorrow and so I'm back in the warm bosom of my hotel room....
I could have stayed at home and left this evening

That's it for us regular 9 to 5 types. Holidays over, work begins.

Early start here, waiting for the 0520 Eurotunnel to Calais.

How's it going for other CC folks back to the grind this morning?
Dunno...finished on 22nd...back on 9th so plenty more movies to get through before the dreaded commute!

Walked the dog this morning, thought about getting a job.

Got home in the warm, settled down with a coffee and the NARPO magazine and the fleeting urge to find employment quickly passed.
