Sensible precautions today - took the absolute bare minimum to work (water, laptop, lunch) and jettisoned all the flotsam out of my bag.
Also took a different bike to usual because it's uphill on the way home (peak heat) and I wanted lower gears so I could put in the smallest amount of effort. And wore a cap and sunscreen.
In the end it wasn't so bad.
My boiler thermostat, currently in the living room, says 20.5C.Our weather stations outside sensor is currently showing 39.5C
Goodness, is it really that hot down South?

I've got several windows open but I'm wearing a thin fleece over a tee shirt.
Peaked 27C inside
Exercised early in morning. Stayed out of direct sun after 11am. Drank plenty.
