Does anyone remember when night clubs were called Disco's?

That's not something unique to that Bee Gees interview though is it?

True and perhaps more interviewees should have done what The Bee Gees did whenever he was being twatish. Having said that though there wouldn't have been many lengthy interviews would there? Considering what a twat he was though that would have been a good thing.

Yep , and personally , I never ever used the D word !
Clubbin' is how we described a night on the floor , the first club I went in was Top of the Town , Manchester , 1969 , a lot of Motown was played in there ,

I went in Poco a couple of times , not sure about Oasis , Oceans 11 comes to mind , but my first haunts in Town were Spring Gardens , Top of the Town , Mr Smiths , Tiffanys, The Bossa Nova
Barons Beer Keller , and a host of others , all when I was 16-17 !!

One record I remember them playing in there was, Black is Black by Los Bravos, always on. Met a lovely girl in there that I went out with for a long time. Silver mini dress and long dark hair. She worked in Lewis's. Ahhh.. The memories.

No it was the one in Manchester, it had a caberet bit and a room with a circular dance floor and the jockey was in the middle on a revolving platform , it was called Drockiweenys If I remember it right ,

Bacara , yes sir I can boogie was a good bopper , as for the Bee Gees ,I will never forget walking down the stairs of some club with the bell of the ball on my arm , just as we started to descend
Night Fever started to play !
It felt as though all eyes were upon us , celebrity status !
I was the envy of floor !
