How many bikes do you own/use?

I have 2 now, Giant SCR2.0 for the commute and weekend rides, and my Dad's old Pioneer Elite hybrid as my "off down the shops"/"pootle with the nippers" bike.

I love them all equally, just like my children if I had any. And since my commute is just two miles and often includes a pub stop and anyway it wouldn't fit you and I like the inverse snobbery and the irony of being a bike geek and riding a shitter. And it's worth £shitloads. So no, you can't bloody have it. Actually.

I have:

one of the older blue dragon design Kaffenbacks, which I need to get sorted out as the seatpost is cold-welded in...;

a Blue 4AL alu/carbon racing thing, which is what I ride most of the time;

a Titus Motolite 2 (still in bits);

and soon, a Brompton M6L... which is supposedly my wife's... ;-)

the three in my sig line, although the "winter bike" will now be summer commuter/winter road bike, and the other bike will be winter commuter, when it gets some slicks.

A Pearson Audax (Poppy) in flam Red equipped with Veloce which is used for long rides and good weather,

and

A Dawes Horizon (Betty) equipped with Sora and Shimano XT which is mostly used for commuting and winter riding these days.

My present stable includes:
Road bike:Giant Defy 2

Off Roaders: 2011 Cannondale SL4 hardtail and a 2007 Marin Attack Trail full sus

Tesco and Town bike: An 18 yr old Raleigh purple thing that I've converted to single speed and upgraded the brakes so that they can actually stop the thing!

Sentimental wheels: A 1986 (ish) British Eagle Touristique that I bought for £50 in about 1995

Just interested in how many bikes people have & what they are used for.
Bikes that are used that is not ones just sitting unused in garages/sheds etc

I have 3. (at the moment)
Carrera Subway 1 for a 5 mile commute to Station (when I don't want to ride all the way to work.)
Kona Dew for longer 14 mile commute to work and weekend long distance rides. (Though looking at getting a Specialized Globe Comp for the rides)
GT Legato for exercise and pootling around locally.

The carbon road bike, the flat-bar tourer, and the MTB.
That'll be three.
I've got the old Ribble frame to build at some point - that'll be four. That'll do, I suspect.

Well...
MTB now has butterfly bars on it and will be a heavyweight tourer
Ribble is now a flat bar creditcard tourer
Carbon roadbike is still a carbon roadbike
My old Dynatech is now a SS / Fixed, depending on mood
And I haz a Brompton M6R.

Genesis Flyer single speed just for fun
Giant mountain bike which stays at my parents.

Thinking about getting a genesis equilbrium 20 or their titanium bike as I really like the fit and feel of the single speed I was hankering for something carbon but am beginning to lean towards old school.

Pearson Pave with SRAM Apex - very under used , sunny weather toy when nothing much needs to be carried
Whyte Cambridge 2011 for flatbar fun / commuting

Plus a York exercise bike, used most evenings in front of the TV
