How many of you planning to ride Christmas Day?

I will be riding Christmas Day weather permitting. Maybe trying out a new Garmin if I can ever find Santa to make sure he knows I want a Garmin computer and new wheels and a jacket and leg warmers and another CO2 inflator and some new front lights and a new rear light and some knee warmers and some new gloves and a new cassette and a new brooks saddle and some new bar tape and a new bike stand and a new turbo trainer and a....I better write all this down.

I think Santa has been avoiding me.

The enemy and I are booked in to a posh restaurant on christmas day for a plate of egg and chips each, with angel delight for afters. It's fifteen miles away, if it ain't raining we will cycle there and back.

Not a chance. I love cycling but Christmas is once a year and its a family day of presents, roast turkey and some drinks. Got all next year to obsess about the bike.

So far, yes. It doesn't look like I'll have a chance to go up north to visit the fam for the holidays so I'll make my own fun.

Unlikely though the escape from the usual chaos would be welcome. I'll just have to get drunk instead.

Boxing day is more likely however, while the rest of the family sleep in. Should be able to fit in 20 or 30 miles before any of them drag themselves out of bed.

inlaws will no doubt be round xmas day..........i will therefore have to get my chaffuers hat on....so that will be that day sorted.........boxing day might be an idea........although i usually make it a lazy day, i was still smoking last year and didn't have a bike so perhaps its time for a change.

Oh and if (as several people have already said) you are getting a Garmin for xmas......it is in the instruction booklet that the unit MUST be ridden with on day of opening of said Garmin package otherwise it wont work.....ever .

Me and Mrs D will go out for a couple of hours Christmas day morning, then there's usually an informal club run boxing day. Stuffing your face is so much nicer afterwards.

I'd love to but unfortunately i'll be slaving away in the kitchen and then falling alseep in front of the tele!
