I've no doubt that there were sound software-based reasons for the change but it's a shame that the appearance of the pages is now the way it is. At first I thought it was just the usual resistance to change thing but after a few days I'm pretty sure that the previous version was better. There is no doubt that I will get used to this one but then again you can get used to anything. If it's possible to revert and if there are no compelling reasons not to, then that is what I would like to see happen.
I need to get some technical things out of the way, and also spend some time trying to re-program it to get the hover-preview working, but once that's done I'll start work on the layout.
There
were sound reasons for the change, but I do appreciate people's frustrations because I've not only changed how it looks, but how it all works too, and it can be very frustrating when something very familiar is all of a sudden very alien.
I've been using the new software for a while as I've been testing it and you should get to grips with the new links / controls / navigation / sections etc. fairly quickly, and the layout
will be modified in the near future to change the focus onto the content more, so please give it a bit of time before you put your clipless shoes on and ride for the hills ....
