Idiot tries to stop combined harvester, because it's 'spraying his family meal'!

Is he a complete 'townie idiot', or should the farmer stop his machine while they have their meal?

  • he has a fair complaint y'know!

Hmm, farmers lung's not a lot of fun, but that's by the by to the main point, which is other industries would not be allowed to create a nuisance in that way.
The work is being done in an open environment, with the problem being the dust created by the cutting operation. The one driving the combine will be in an air conditioned cab, usually with filters in place. The drivers doing the drawing might not have the luxury of filters fitted to the cab.

In either of the above, you'll still get a certain amount of dust.

But if it were any other industry, the two in the car would be done for entering onto private property. Property where work is ongoing, and which might end in them getting hurt. The driver on the draw is watching the combine on the other side, keeping a set distance from it. The only other traffic should be coming in from behind, but only when they have moved clear.

Never been to Bradford past the Seabrook's crisp factory or to Burton on Trent?!!

The Alfa 155 Silverstone (with the aero pack in the boot) was the car that pretty well much gave birth to the Supertouring era. I'll whip off my nerd hat now.
Your nerd hat has just grown a bobble topper

Some of the main restrictions currently imposed on the racing circuits that I know of are...
Oulton Park & Croft - no Sunday racing before 12:00
Castle Coombe & Thruxton - limited racing days and strict sound limits.
Brands Hatch - No Sunday racing before 10:00, limited use (12 days?) of the GP circuit and a strict 18:30 curfew (the same curfew also applies at Snetterton)
Silverstone only recently appears to have dropped the Sunday mid-morning church break
Mallory Park almost went under due to complaints from local residents

I don't think his kitchen table was in the field.

From the vid I thought the two in the car were with the combine/tractor, the driver is talking on a radio to the combine driver as they approach.

The person who doesn't care what her name is was the one was trespassing.

The Snetterton curfew must be relatively new in the scheme of things, because I covered my fair share of evening Britcar meetings and 24 hour races back in the day...

One of my cat show friends lives a stone's throw away from Mallory. Doesn't bother her, she's just as big a petrolhead as I am. :becool: I was going to introduce her to Pickup Trucks on the Mallory Mile, but then Covid hit. That's on the agenda for next year, as she's out of action with a broken foot right now...

Noise issues is why some stock car tracks have had problems. It pretty well much killed off Wimbledon.

@Reynard

Whilst I may have said we should stop infiltrating the muck spreading / cows a chasing thread, a bit of gratuitous Gerry never did anybody any harm!!

I think its blending quite well.

The Firenze - a posh Viva that went like a rocket. I also had a soft spot for the Chevette HS/HSR in the Rally arena, eventually getting Vauxhall competitive with the Escorts. I bet there aren't many examples of either left.

The two in the car appeared to be part of the farming operation. It was the guy on foot who was annoyed about his meal being spoiled.

And I'm not sure just what you mean by "be done for enetering private property" - "done" under what law exactly?
