Motor home parked in disabled bay for three weeks

Disability isn't always an obvious thing. There was an article last year about a young woman (I think she's 21) in Kent who was a blue badge holder. I can't remember what her disability was (either something to do with bowels or lungs) but she stated that majority of people thought she was perfectly fine and couldn't be disabled ... because she doesn't look disabled.

This doesn't mean I defend that motorhome owner.
In the past it was meant for those who have physical and mobility issues and therefore need to park close by. Now someone with autism, anxiety disorder etc can apply for a blue badge.

Most people cannot be bothered because it does not affect them. But those who struggle to move from the main carpark are hard done.

And no politician or public servant will say anything as the wrath of the Guardian is every present.

A local disability assessment centre had their designated disabled bays about 120m from the desk. Anyone using the bays automatically failed the assessment, as they had 'demonstrated' that they could walk further than the assessment criteria at the time.

That's a Fiat Ducato van, not a Hymer motorhome.

Wouldn't they be told off for parking in a disabled bay before they had been assessed for a blue badge?

Not really… you have carefully not shown reg no., so, difficult to judge age. Hymer are a quality brand, but, that looks like an elderly vehicle. It is a wild guess, but, £25,000 - £35,000 ballpark.

I would have thought that the comments on the back may break some law related to public decency, offensive language etc, but, it doesn’t offend me personally.

I think you are a bit high with the price estimate. Not being in the market for such a vehicle and not having the age I would guess at less than £20,000. Mind you prices have gone a bit crazy over the last couple of years so you may be nearer the possible price.

Fiat Ducato base mechanicals and perhaps chassis but it is still a Hymer motorhome.

I’m guessing being a 1993 that it could be between £7,000 to £12,000 depending on condition, mileage and if it’s a RHD, or a LHD import, but Hymer A Class motor homes are a nice place to camp out in

I see elsewhere, year is given as 1993. I did say that I couldn’t see registration number and was guessing g at age. D So, I would agree with you, I estimated a bit high, more like £10,000-£20,000, assuming it doesn’t have any damp problems.

Most Motorhomes of that era were based on Fiat Ducato (or one of its cousins, Puegot Or Citroen).

Even now, the Fiat and it’s cousins are frequently used, Transit and Sprinter come next, I believe.
