I decided against climbing Croagh Patrick this morning. It's not easy and I haven't done a huge amount of hiking since shattered my ankle. I should probably work my way up to it.

I did have a very relaxing morning walking around the grounds of Westport House and the Quay.

Some strange things grow on trees in Westport. I assume this is all related to their Christmas lights!

I tipped half a glass of lager into my laptop keyboard last night. Despite frantic efforts with a damp sponge and hectares of kitchen roll, it croaked. I woke up this morning fully prepared to spend £500 on a replacement but it came alive again with no obvious ill effects.

I split a glass of wine on one and after a year it stopped charging or working with the power lead plugged in. Presumably over time the wine had corroded something.
Box of car bits opened for a dust cap as I noticed one had disappeared

Can't the council do the simple thing, put a note on bins ordered for in your name not be actioned?

The one that came yesterday was not in my name and the phone number was fake so only the address was real, its not like they could check to make sure or think there might be an issue when loads of bins keep being ordered but we are talking council employees .....
Person i spoke to reckons they are doing as you suggest so we will wait and see,
In other news i am fuming as the sprogs requested more money at the concert for food as they reckoned they had run out and this morning i found a food delivery bag hidden in the bin from last night and saw mini ck 1 sneaking out to intercept the delivery man before he set the doorbell off at 11 pm.This is someone who never has any money so they have either got hold of bank details or they had money left which i specifically told them i wanted back .

Good morning from Suffolk where the grey & gloominess continues with added dampness from fine, misty drizzle - yes, it is as miserable here as that sounds.

Coffee has long been had and a second is being considered already despite a very good night's sleep. Once I've been round to see Dad the rest of the day is free and I'm tempted to go out for lunch, the problem is that I've got two away days this week so I really ought to be 'good' for the rest of the week.

I am feeling distinctly wobbly today. I have a blood test later, and a visit to Hopsital tomorrow for jabs etc.

Whenever I take consumer electronics to pieces,I manage to break some of the piddling little plastic tabs that keep the cases together, despite having all the pry-bars and spudgers. I think I'll just hope for the best.
