Visit to Dad has been completed and I stayed a bit longer than anticipated which solved the question as to whether to go out for lunch or not. Stopped off in town and picked up a cheap pasta meal from Tesco instead and had it with a mug of coffee after a bit of an extended bike ride home. It's not the same as burger, chips & a pint or two but it will have to do.
Still grey and quite chilly and the drizzle has stopped.

I've been away with the fairies for most of the day. It could explain why I was a bit vague this morning.
GBH at lunchtime. Both ams stabbed for a BT. Right arm did not want to play.
Then got lost in Asda as more shuffling of shelving had occurred and new lower shelves occupied the fruit and veg. Once out of that maze Waitrose to use up a 50p milk voucher. Needed some apples and Asdas offering verged on Waitroses prices so after an afternoon work visit nipped intp Aldi.

The drizzle is back.
I've just watched the neighbours playing silly buggers with car parking. Carers for the chap opposite had taken the spot my neighbour on the right calls hers, so she parked where the neighbour on the left always does as he was out shopping, so he had to park up the road on his return.
Immediately the carers left, the neighbour on the right moved her car 20 yards to her spot, followed a couple of minutes later by the neighbour on the left reclaiming his spot. Don't know why they bothered as both will be out sometime tomorrow morning.
Last time I came home and couldn't park outside the house, I left the car up the road for a fortnight

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! 
Finally managed to browbeat BT into submission and send out an engineer. Took them three hours today to trace and fix the fault (which included having to send for a cherry picker). End result is that they had to replace the entire cable run and all the connections from the cluster on the pole across the street, to the pole on my corner, and thence to the house. They've also done away with the extra bit of wire along the eaves.
Glad to have my internet again, I've used up SO much phone credit just trying to do everything that wanted doing. And chase up BT on top of that.

Got blood sample taken from the top of the hand (with my permission) instead of usual vein in the arm (apparently nurse couldn't find blood there, hahaha). Hand veins are more painful but hey ho, nurse got my blood eventually. I've got sore hand and a nice bruise evolving.
