And to think I've been riding my bike in my work trousers, t-shirt and fleece.

You mean I've been doing it all wrong for the last 25 years?

I’m afraid you’ve been doing it all wrong because you’re not at the intersection of creative culture and cycling

In a 2 hour dog walk this morning I spotted a good half dozen riders on expensive bikes, not one appeared under the age of 50.
Indeed, it’s already a problem. Despite exercise and fitness being in vogue for younger people, cycling is hardly growing.

Running, open-water swimming, the gym, and other fitness activities (e.g. Hyrox) are growing.

I wonder if the cycling industry has priced itself out of new customers, or people feel increasingly unsafe on the road. Perhaps both.

It appears that the younger members of society tend to change exercise regimes when fashions change.
Indoor bouldering (rock climbing) has been very popular with young ones. However they moving away to the gym and running.

One can earn a £50 discount on £165 and above spend on MAAP stuff simply by recording 6 hours of activity between 13 Oct and 26 Oct.

A lab!

For crying out loud. What do they call a laboratory? A sauna?
Lolol! It stands for "life around bikes", it says in the video.

@Andy in Germany is a Brit married to a Japanese; he lives in Germany, is a bike mechanic, knows how to work with wood, does modelmaking as a hobby, cycles everywhere in all weathers.
A more creative, multicultural, cycling person than Andy would be difficult to find, not only at the intersection but also right in the middle of creative culture and cycling ^_^

Thank you, @Pat "5mph". That's quite a recommendation.

I'm probably at a different intersection of creative culture and cycling; one with better bike lanes...

Oh, and I'm not yet officially a bike mechanic: working on it though.
