Somehow, I rather suspect that PK99 is still very much at home, based on what he's said over the past few months on the Covid thread.

As to the original question, well, I wasn't going up to Scotland this Christmas to see my family or friends - my parents are in their eighties, the risk's far too much, even before the increased restrictions. . There'll be another, better, time. So, no, I wouldn't go. There'll be a better time for that too.

Probably? Can they not test you screen man?

When I was first struggling to breath and felt rough and unable to get out of bed I called the rest centre in Lincoln, they take your details, ask a few questions and decide over the phone if you have covid, they said I did not do no need too see me, it was 3 weeks from that point I went online and spoke to my Doctor who said she wanted to see me the next day, hence the notes, she did a raft of blood tests plus and ECG, still waiting for chest xray. Seems if you are not tested in first 8 days then the results will not be correct also testing for antibodies can only be done once you are clear of it. A nurse friend had the same symptoms as myself and was tested positive.

So I am sitting here not knowing.

Lincoln Hospital on our local FB were offering £100 bonus on top of wages for any nurse who could work last night or tonight due to staff shortages.

Thats a lot cheaper than agency staff.

I reckon PK is at home, and has had himself covered in heat shrink film and his house hermetically sealed and encased in lead.

I think this was for anyone agency or otherwise, they just could not get anyone in.

I mentioned this to Mrs d last night.

They get parents at school who don't feel well and are sufficiently concerned they go and get tested for Covid. However, while awaiting the results they continue to socialise, go to hair salons and restaurants etc, and then act surprised when the test comes back positive and a whole year group at school are sent home to isolate because their kids have been coming into school while all this is happening.

Open camps so people entering the UK are forced to isolate, and imprison anyone that breaches the rules for a month. People will be forced to behave or be removed form circulation where they can cause harm. If the virus cannot enter our shores, and cannot circulate among the population, it will disapper.

Sufficient numbers of the public can't be trusted to behave that the virus will never be eradicated by any other means. It's tough, but we are a group of islands and have great advantage as a result, yet we have failed to capitalise upon that. the IoM have shown what can be done if you stop effing about and get tough, and we should do the same. The situation will then stabilise very quickly, within weeks, and domestic business can resume as normal, much to the relieve of many different industries and millions of employees.

I trust I can rely on your vote?

It's like pictures of Milan earlier in the year with people jumping in cars and on trains.

Except that was rather a long time ago.
