Remote lost, help needed, URGENT!!

Okay, here's the background, I have been off work with a dodgy 'tum tum' and also looking after a sick kid with a supposed fever but has in fact been a hyperactive little monkey all day (favourite game is fetching and carrying stuff to 'help' Daddy! ).

The cleaner has been here for four hours this morning, all bins emptied etc.

I have done as much tidying as I could including taking loads of stuff up to the attic and filling three recycling boxes and almost a whole wheelie bin with rubbish. Time now to sit down and watch a bit of telly, but thirty minutes of searching has failed to reveal the whereabouts of the Sky remote.

Any suggestions?

Were I to loose a remote control, somehow 'ask people on the internet where it is' doesn't sound like the kind of search strategy that's likely pop into my head. Is it some kind of trip? Do you have a mental number cosponsoring to the number of people you want to hear say:

"How the f*** should I know where it is" ?

If so, I assume that number is higher than the number of people who might actually have clue?

You could ask the dog?
