I am sure a few years ago the same thing happened, drought declared hosepipe ban ordered then lots and lots of rain.

its a consipracy by the water companies i tell you! declare a drought and hosepipe ban, put everyone on meters then make the rain come down in biblical (seems like) proportions once the whole contry is considering not flushing the loo!

I do, heavy rain seems better than light rain with drizzle being the worst for glass wearing.

Cycling cap under the helmet seemed to work best when I wore my glasses, kept a fair bit of it off at least.

Yeh I do wear glasses - I just guess where I need to steer . The down side is the filthy bike though - needs another wash tonight ! Oh and the almost vanished pads - must change before weekend.

Very true. Also, if it's cold, the bloody things steam up if you slow down or stop.

There's something quite exhilarating cycling in torrential downpours. The looks on the faces of car drivers and peds is usually quite funny.
