there is a term "French shower" ...spraying yourself with deodorant rather than a wash but that's a cheat and also a lie because I am 1/4 French xx

I wasn't aware the french either showered or used deodorant?

I thought they just made sure their cheese smelled stronger than their body odour?

As already mentioned:

- many if not all Motorway services have showers, and, usually a route to access without going on motorway.
- swimming baths and gyms/leisure centres

Also, possibly alongside canals or in marinas there are often showers, you will need a key.
