Shake oh shake the Ketchup bottle, first none will come and then a lott'le....Mint sauce obliterates the flavour of whatever it is applied to, and Marmite is re-packaged fish food. I struggle to contain my indifference on the subject of how they are contained.
Hang on, hang on.... Why does one need to get sauce, be it red or brown, mint sauce, mustard, 'mayo' or even bloody Marmite for goodness sake out of the bottle, surely all this vile crap is best left where it is, in the bottle where it cant assault ones senses?
Good. One has a beef with brown sauce, surely?I don't have a beef with ketchup
I certainly don't have it with mint sauce but it looks like @User482 may have . BTW, I've never tried it with Marmite either.Good. One has a beef with brown sauce, surely?
Don't try the Asda squirtable stuff. It's a watery joke.Mint sauce and lamb go great together. The fattiness of the meat perfectly balanced by the vinegaryness (is that even a word?) of the mint sauce. So much so we have three different delivery methods in the Nickyboy household...traditional jar with spoon, traditional jar with spoon (but jelly form), squeezy bottle
We've covered pretty well all the mint sauce bases here
Sorry it's got to be Daddies brown sauce, available in a squirty bottle if you feel that way inclined.
None of that poncy HP stuff in our house (lights blue touch paper and stands back!).

HP sauce I can kinda forgive, but Marmite?.....nooooooHeinz Tomato Sauce and HP brown sauce in our cupboard , plus proper Malt Vinegar (none of that none brewed condiment..).
It'll be a cold day in hell before I buy Marmite in a plastic bottle..
That's the point. It is a glass bottle (although now available in squirtable ones). It is a very thick sauce and very nice but almost impossible to get it out of the bottle. The squirtable bottles are much easier to use so have become more popular so I consider it progress (although the glass one can be recycled/re-used).
Err, it's not HP!
