I cancelled my sub when the news came out whenever it was, I lose track, was it last year or 24?
Anyway, I thought I would really miss it, but to be fair it hasn't been that bad at all, and I have been watching some races on SBS for example, which has quite a lot of live cycling, including iirc all three grand tours, plus a lot of other 1 day races and smaller stage races.
I'll be aiming to watch Strade Bianche on March 7th, but that will be the first live race I have watched, everything else (And to be fair that was just the TDU stages) was on catch up, again with SBS.

I can’t believe what they are asking per month, to avoid their frequent little ad breaks. As far as sport is concerned, they appear to go out of their way to place them at the most disruptive points in the action.

Watching free YouTube I typically get at most a minute of ads in 20.minites viewing making sure I activate the Next and Skip boxes at tge bottom right corner when operative.

Well that is something.
Hopefully I will see out my contract before that is shut down. Will not be paying the current asking price once my contract is done.

I assumed the sports would simply switch over.
Maybe they will include the basic tv package instead of Discovery. That’s £4-99 but includes ad breaks.
If not, they should somehow refund the difference.

Sadly, HBO Max looks like it will continue to demand over £30 per month for customers to watch cycling  once it takes over from TNT.

What are ASO et al. doing about it? Surely, it’s terrible for the sport’s health to be passed from expensive pillar to pricey post.

I’m not holding my breath for free coverage of the Tour de France’s 2027 Grand Départ in the UK.

Laughing all the way to the bank. Their core markets still have access through the EBU deal that itv were priced out of, and they got to make some extra money out of some greedy American company with a confused strategy and their gullible British mugs. They don't care much if a few people in a minor cycle racing country lose access for a few years because some of them fell for a subscription offer that was too good to be true.
