The Dominatrixes one is really neat - such a shame it's been scrawled over.

On the other hand, once you've seen HM and TM in leather bustiers and kinky boots, you can't really *unsee* it...

While Jesus up there is doing his bit for the homeless, others are less charitable. I went looking for some protest street art in Portland St today, that was done in response to the eviction of hundreds of homeless people from a building that's been empty for over 15 years, that was briefly occupied in March during the 'beast from the east' snowstorms. A handyman with a big heart but no legal authority is alleged to have agreed to the initial occupation given the bitterly cold conditions, but following swift legal action they have all now been moved on, and the artwork removed. Although no other work is being done of course and it remains empty and boarded up. More info and a pic of the artwork before it was covered up here: https://inspiringcity.com/2018/03/2...-the-eviction-of-the-homeless-at-sofia-house/

It was a pretty horrible out there today. I was only out for a few hours but got soaking wet and cold, so I'm very thankful I have somewhere warm and dry to shelter. My only struggle was back home afterwards trying to remove drenched socks, gloves and lycra with cold fingers, like trying to pull the skin off an uncooked chicken drumstick while hopping and flailing about with no grace or dignity^_^

I came across the fish on the side of a pub in Goldsmith's Row @Reynard mentioned a few pages back. I had seen this before but when I last saw it the tail was missing, now as you can see the tail is back, and has now been covered with perspex. I'm guessing someone kept peeling it off.

Thankfully I did find some colour to counteract the greyness, although to be fair even the artworks look horrified at the weather

And this is also in Camden and is by Saudi artists Frop and Muso who both studied in the UK.

And finally I'm not a huge fan of tags, to me its just like writing your name over and over in a different font, kind of like this, but I confess I did laugh at this one^_^

But I'm including this following one as I like the story behind it, and its bright and psychedelic. Its a bit hard to read, but it says 'Goodnight Vienna'.

Its a memorial to the artists recently deceased Grandfather, and was a phrase used by the old man when giving commentaries to old Henry Cooper boxing matches. More info here: http://graffitilife.co.uk/goodnight-vienna/

Thanks @Richard A Thackeray, a bike one on a famous old shop and bike builder, brilliant:okay:. I admit I did'nt recognise who was in the image, but have looked it up and its none other than cycling legend Beryl Burton, pictured with her husband and daughter. Beryl was born in Halton, Leeds, and Woodrup built her some racing frames early in her career. Brilliant a bit of street art has helped to bring to peoples attention some great local history. Link here with some nice quotes by Tony Woodrup http://westleedsdispatch.com/woodrup-cycles-beryl-burton-stewy-street-art/

It was done by Stewy from Bristol. I got a Tony Benn of his on page 19 and a Malcolm Mclaren on page 23, where I discovered he did a series of pieces around Yorkshire featuring famous Yorkshire folk cycling, as part of the TDF preparations in 2014. Someone posted a David Hockney one on another thread that I linked to back on page 23, I don't know the whereabouts of the others or if they have survived.

Its long overdue but today we finally had some sunshine in London, especially sweet as it was my day off. I headed across town to Walthamstow to bag a new Dale Grimshaw, whose images are always amazing. He did the Bob Marley on page 2, and tribal figures on pages 6 & 9. This one features someone from Malawi in front of their nations flag, and definitely brightens up an otherwise forgettable pharmacy.

On my way home, in Lambeth North I came across this Iggy Pop van. I don't think its Iggy's personal wheels^_^
