Expensive, Denmark! As Noel Coward didn't say (sfaik).

Its relative to salary. If you buy new vehicles it is expensive but our housing is a lot cheaper than the UK. In fact the UK is so expensive for housing, that I couldn't return if I wanted to.

Thankfully, I dont. <O)

I have house hold insurance, what's the best way to get third party on a bike please?
Check your policy and if they've not included it, change the provider when you renew. Household third party not only covers you for cycling, but also for walking, gardening, fixing your drive and tons of other things you do both at home and beyond. It's an element of home insurance which you'll probably never need but it's really useful if you do.

Or LCC. Used to be under a tenner for just 3rd party. That said the BC Halfords discount can quickly add up to cover the membership
It is still just under a tenner http://lcc.org.uk/pages/third-party-liability-insurance and BC's support for Half-odds is a pretty poor showing - support your local bike shops!

Wasn't it one of the big catalysts for change in the Netherlands?
Nope. It was only introduced in 1994

- things like Sustainable Safety and Vision Zero designs are much more important. I doubt people think about potential liability much while driving.

Edit: oh dear it's on http://cyclingfallacies.com/en/30/liability-laws-will-make-people-drive-safely

We get about the same amount of snow as the UK...if not less. I think you are imagining Norway and not Denmark.
But they're just the same, like Wales and Scotland! (apologies to people who don't watch QI)

That is a comment misconception; the big catalyst for change came in 1973 with the Stop der Kindermord movement. The strict liability laws only started 19 years later, in 1992, quite some time after safe cycling routes had been established and the death rates lowered.
