Looks like Rick got "half-speed"ed at the start. His limit is just a bit higher than mine, about 54/55 mph it seems.
What is half speeding? There was definitely something up with my speeds at the start but didn't think about it again til I saw your post. Has happened twice recently.

Tempting as your kind offer is, I think it's about time I braved the dangers of the real world for a bit of mountain biking instead!

16 seconds though - wow! Couldn't be much closer after an hour and a half of racing! And Rick's less than two minutes behind me and more than capable of taking that out of me on a stage. Looking down the league there's loads more close personal battles going on too....
I'd only had 1 crack at stage 1 and even it was a mess at the start so redid it this morning - Worked as hard as I have in a long time but still only clawed a handful of seconds back on you pair!:heat::B)

Yes, thanks Rick, just got that most welcome of emails - "You have been challenged and beaten"!

Well done that must have been a good chunk out of your time on Thursday :notworthy:

Tripe, they were the days, one of my mums favourite foods until dad banned it from the house because of the smell.

I prefer white pudding to black, but again that's my mums influence also with liver and bacon. Making myself hungry.
How was your first turbo ride with the mending collarbone?

It's when you accelerate beyond a certain speed and the software goes berserk and cuts the speed (and power) to half. It happens for me at about 43 mph, but it looks like your limit is around 54 mph. The only way for me to go faster than 43 mph is when gravity does the work (blue numbers).

"260 of us living in't shoe box in't middle of road"
"Cardboard box?".......................

My dad used to pick up lorry loads of mushrooms from a nearby mushroom farm to take them to the railway. The farmer would often give him a punnet load as a tip and mum would fry them up with a knob of butter. That was really considered a luxury in our house.
An to follow that up we go to "lick road clean wit tongue".

Not too bad, a bit of an ache after 30 minutes. Holding the handle bars was surprisingly comfortable. I'll do another session on Wednesday.
Kipster,

What I found to be helpful, after say 4-6 weeks or so, was some light exercises with dumbbells to regain some strength in the shoulder. Never got referred for physio but was advised by the orthopaedic consultant at NHH that it should help.
