First attempt on the Bkool after a month off. Open the software and just get a black window with a cursor. Nothing happens... If I then click the cursor I get Program not responding in the title bar.
Have uninstalled twice and it still won't start.... Any ideas?
All other software runs fine, I have held down shift when starting and changed options and still no luck. Windows 10 PC with 8Gb ran I7 quad core.

It's only when I'm on the trainer, so next thing for me to try is to raise my front wheel a bit more so I'm am more upright and put my laptop higher up so I am not looking down at it I think.

Alfie, don't raise your front wheel, that will mean you are going uphill all the time and loose minutes

Do what I do and get the wife to massage your neck and shoulders while you are on the turbo, I wish!

Just tried the 3rd March/April chain gang ride. A fast downhiller with 600ft of climbing. Bloody hard going for me - was knackered at the end:bicycle:. Am not often able to make the Thursday evening sessions hence me doing them early. Have fun annihilating my time .
Looks like it will be another 1hr 20 mins ride for me given your time on this ..... better get myself ready for another painful session

Fixed black screen issue, program was trying to start in a mode that the to screen couldn't display. Annoyingly the only way to fix it was to plug a monitor in and change the display settings in the Bkool software. Then unplug the monitor and it displays ok. Perhaps I should ditch the 42inch screen

Uninstall it and restart your PC. Make sure all of your short-cuts are deleted and then run a registry cleaner.
Restart and re-install and try again.

You'll be fine. It's just a bit relentless. I found the many gradient changes mess your rhythm up a bit so ran out of steam a bit towards the end.

No need to give up the TV. Just turn off full screen under settings on the bsim program.

Running mine on a 42 inch Sony via HDMI with no problems.

Definitely agree with turning off Full Screen settings.

Unfortunately I won't be around for the Handicap Chase tomorrow night, as I will be heading south to Farnham for my aunt's funeral.

She was 94 so had a good knock, and as she was the last of her era, I'm sure she'll get a good send off.

The next Handicap Chase is "Vuelta 2012 E15" at 8pm (plus Start Time) tonight, 22nd March 2016.

Start Times are here... Chain Gang Handicap Race

If anyone else wants to take part, please can you let us know a competitive time for the stage, or failing that your fitness level and anyone whom you usually finish close to. Then we can agree a Start Time.

Full Instructions are here... Chain Gang Handicap Race

Please try not to sit on the Start Line (unless your Start Time is 0:00), rather enter the session pedalling when the time underway reaches your Start Time.

Time Underway can be seen so long as you do not enter the session via the Details button, rather click on the padlock image in the centre of the session window!

I've recorded a little video to show the starting procedure for the Handicap race

https://www.dropbox.com/s/qdqhtro4j7tmjv2/Bkool Indoor Join Handicap Chase.mp4?dl=0

Please ignore the Warning dialog after entering the password, as it was recorded on a computer without the ANT+ dongle, and you shouldn't see it.

The Video shows selecting the live tab, applying handicap in the advanced filter to find the session, seeing the time underway counter and entering the password, then Clicking No to start the session when the underway counter gets to your handicap (in this case 15.0 minutes).

I was thinking of doing a gentle ride tonight, this might be a little too late and not very gentle on my collarbone. Hopefully I'll have finished my pootle by the time this starts and pop by to watch. I hope to join the Thursday night 'race', although I wont be 'racing' I will be putting a bit of effort in.

If the way my legs feel are anything to go by, I'll be lucky to catch up with anyone tonight. I will of course try. Just saying, and am not in any way grovelling to try and get a better start time. I made my own bed last week and will lie in it
