might want to check out my HR to see how hard you made me work for it! Once again.....toughest yet. Felt really sick at the end. Tried so hard to beat you more substantially, but every time I tried I ran out of steam and thought you were going to win as you took off into the sunset. So many times I had to chase you down....soooo tough!

Rick cheers mate. Sorry to be a pain.

Insomnia I totally agree. I think we all get loads more motivation when we're being pushed.

Bert I'd recommend 'continental gatorskins'. I commute on them all year round with very few punctured. Not the cheapest option, and more protection over performance. But I think universally considered very durable and good in all weather.

Also as Geoff said. Tubeless is an interesting option.
Gators are a bit love or hate, my son likes them, I can't stand them so have schwalbe durano plus' heavy but grippy and only had one punture on them in 5k miles. I even ran them last summer. Not cheap mind and the weight puts some people off.

Tom, at the moment I am using a 25mm road tyre. A Continental Ultra Sport. I think I prefer the 23mm one but the 25 is ok so may as well wear it out a bit. I have tried a turbo specific tyre a tacx 23mm blue one but found it to be power sapping but very good on steep climbs if you want to get out of the saddle without having to worry about wheel spin as it just seems to grip the roller. Good for mountain goat leagues but not good for chaingang ones.
I have a decatlon turbo tyre. A 23 I think. It is a lot harder to turn than a road tyre of the same size on the classic I have.

It seems to cause an under read on power on the bsim software. I have a 25 sized tyre that I want to test, as the 28 I use gives an over read on power.

I worked on my car all day yesterday and my legs were already a little stiff from crouching all day but that was nothing to today, I am having real trouble getting out and into chairs and stairs need to be taken very carefully. I hope they are better for tomorrow as I need to best my time to close the gap on Bill and Lars.

Well I have no chance of besting my yesterdays time as I was giving it 110% (well 94% to be precise). I was at my best and still wont be fully recovered by tomorrow. On the plus side I'm confident that Lars won't be able to best his time either without me around to help with the donkey work ;).
My best chance at the league would be to take a good rest then revisit a previous stage that's still open. I doubt I will though.

Stage 4 of Chaingang complete :banghead: I don't feel well xx( 1 hour 47 minutes of slow, sweaty riding. Anyone know a good doctor?

Gosh it is pan flat, definitely worth trying a drafting gang. Ta for laying a marker

I was thinking the same, I managed 106% effort last night so can't see me bettering the time - unless I use a ghost ??? :bicycle::bicycle::bicycle:

I just checked out your heart rate and your maximum is mighty impressive at 187. Your average of 164 is less than mine though. Both at 94% effort though. Not bad for almost an hour of downhill riding. I think it was the continuous high cadence that hurt me the most.

Then I decided to go and look at cadence:

Adam:
average: 89
maximum: 132

Bill:
average: 124
maximum: 149

Lars
average: 108
maximum: 149

AAAC:
average: 96
maximum: 127

Looks like Lars higher gearing helped keep his lower than mine but Maximum still high. 149 seems to be the maximum it can show so we were both up higher than that at times. Pre-slingshot probably.
