I'd quite like a bus session on a hill ride like the Alpe d'huez ... I might be able to help my fellow mooses :hugs:On the pancakes I'm most definitely still a passenger. I'm the old woman with a blue rinse and the shopping bag on wheels

I wouldn't mind catching the bus up Alpe d'huez if we can sort something out.

I must be one of the few Bkoolers who hasn't attempted that one yet -due to the fear of being rather ill half way up.

However I have done a few Moose climbs, and although i ain't quick, I have managed to complete them, so think I'm ready to give it a whirl.

I'm normally good for any evening, other then the scheduled forum nights of course.

The next Handicap Chase is Pico Peñas de Dios at 8pm (plus Start Time) Tonight, Tuesday 5th April 2016.

Start Times are here... Chain Gang Handicap Race

If anyone else wants to take part, please can you let us know a competitive time for the stage, or failing that your fitness level and anyone whom you usually finish close to. Then we can agree a Start Time.

Full Instructions are here... Chain Gang Handicap Race

Please try not to sit on the Start Line (unless your Start Time is 0:00), rather enter the session pedalling when the time underway reaches your Start Time.

Time Underway can be seen so long as you do not enter the session via the Details button, rather click on the padlock image in the center of the session window!

I've recorded a little video to show the starting procedure for the Handicap race

https://www.dropbox.com/s/qdqhtro4j7tmjv2/Bkool Indoor Join Handicap Chase.mp4?dl=0

P.S. Please ignore the Warning dialog after entering the password, as it was recorded on a computer without the ANT+ dongle, and you shouldn't see it.

The Video shows selecting the live tab, applying handicap in the advanced filter to find the session, seeing the time underway counter and entering the password, then Clicking No to start the session when the underway counter gets to your handicap (in this case 15.0 minutes).

I can make that as well.

@Whorty as it was your initial suggestion are you able to jump on the bus this Weds at 20:00.

@Soarerv8 - I agree with you on the impact of drafting on climbs based on the Moose climb we did together, but there may be more benefit with a bus load rather than 2 of us struggling.

If you want a pace setter I'll be more than happy to, just make sure you have a bucket next to you .

I'm all ready regretting putting my trainer away

I've been trying to talk myself into a Huez run recently. But I imagine my attempt will be a fitness level grabbing, 30 minute bail out affair.
I am looking at a job tomorrow evening but might see if I can gate crash your session at some point. Just depends how work goes.
Actually don't think you'll find Alpe d'Huez any worse than some of those Moose runs tbh.

Me although I appear to have rather foolishly pedalled quite fast the last time I did it.

Either that or Darth Geoff is just playing mind games with my handicap.
