was that really worth it for 8 seconds
odd because the list at the end put me at 57 seconds but that is still only 13 and all those seconds came from drafting and luck

I was left on the line again unable to move. That's the second time recently. Anyone else having that problem?
I always get stuck to start with , just spin up and you will shoot off
you must wait for the zero beep though

ps bkool are going to give me a phone in to try and load 3.25 which they told me was not needed and is just for the pro2

I don't try and start till its definitely on 0. Microkid has perfected the start and always flies out of the blocks. AAAC you could try again to beat me.... So close!

Not so. He is on a Tacx (Flux I think). My Tacx (NEO2) is just as fast off the line as a my pre V5 BKOOL Pro. My Pro on post V5 BSIM is just as slow as yours, at least the 2 times I tried it. See some of my CG videos from a while back, where I did the Thursday ride on the NEO and Saturday on the Pro. :smile:
Fast starts are however negated, once we meet them 8%+ parts, which the videos also show... :sad:

thanks but I don't enjoy that riding on thin air
reminds me too much of the pain of roller racing
400m was bad enough but 1500 was a killer
talk about going into oxygen debt

it was a race of tactics and nerve for me which i both won and lost

idea was to get on the coat tails of the at 30 sec guys on the steep bit and coast

i tried will real @Brusgaard but i kept coasting past him and the spin and timing i needed ton get back on and not overshoot was defeating me and left me a bit empty to keep with his real ghost after failed attempts so from then on in i just latched on where i could

a luckily timed spin up to get back onto one, with @Rod McG just on my tail coincided with a short climb and as my watts caught up i danced up the slope but i backed off to early thinking i was going to overshoot the ghost in front and the the minus 4.5 started and i missed his draft

after that it was just dig in for the home run

at the end of the day my 76kg and limited hr was my downfall
The beta drafting is much better, though not perfect, much less overshoot, though I've suggested it kicks in at 10m from the rider in front not 5 to make it easier to adjust speed and draft... We'll see!

I false started on Thursday, for the sake of a split second I'm going to wait in future. That said I've had no false starts on the beta.

Beautiful! The lugged steel bikes are works of art.
I think I most like the brake bosses with the drilled holes for the brake spring, the excentric bottom bracket,needed for a tandem, is an engineering work of art, picture when I've cleaned it up before shipping to my brother in York who manages the main spares storeroom.

So. I think adding ghosts since the upgrade is really a hit and miss affair. Ghosts sometimes shoot off and finishes 1, 2, 3 or even 5 minutes ahead of when they are supposed to, but some don't. This occurs sometimes, for some of the ghosts. I've been trying to work out if this only occurs when adding pre-upgrade ghosts but I think not. For instance in the 2020 league, stage 3, keith finished 2 minutes ahead of himself when I added his ghost while Goldwolfies ghost finished when it was supposed to, and you both did your sessions just the other day. So, while Bkool generally feels more stable now, the ghost feature is getting poorer and poorer. I think it takes a bit of fun from it all.

Apart from fixing this, they should scrap the possibility of adding pre-update ghost as it is very difficult (if not almost imposssible) to know when a session was made (if I want to choose from old or new ghosts). One can always choose a session that is uploaded post upgrade to solve that problem, but still...

btw...has anyone done a session with real wind? A very strange feature. Cycling in strong head wind indoors, when the resistance is not affected (only a bit) but the speed drops significantly makes that feature rather pointless. So, while the effect mimics reality in a way, the feel is not at all there, I think. But I guess someone perhaps appreciates this feature.

And no, you cannot be awarded a 2 minutes better finish keith. ^_^

I thought you were on to something with the pre update ghost theory. That would make sense...

Are you saying the ghost finishes quicker than the time shown in the ghost selection or you cannot define what is an old and recent ghost?
