Come Saturday, I'll push him! Not doing the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad just before the CC race, like Thursday, should enable me to shave at least 1-3 minutes off my Thursday time.

Fine the first 4.8 kms until we hit the Muur van Geeradsbergen and Bosberg climbs. Made it over the first, but on Bosberg I lost a couple of more Places. One of them I clawed back on the long "descent" to the finish, but was also caught by another rider with 2k to go. I grabbed his wheel and outsprinted him in the last 300m by 3 seconds.

Just catching up a little bit with the thread and I see @Goldwolfie is contemplating a new, secondhand, bkool pro. It just so happens I have one tucked up bubble wrap in my loft. It’s actually [USER=18356]@berty bassett ‘s so the finer points of negotiation should probably be conducted with him. But I’m happy to alert him to any interest, and for what it’s worth I don’t think he’d want much for it (considering I think he’s forgotten I have it!).
Also not to start the whole bkool debate again. But has the drafting improved to a functioning level. I’d like to join you guys for a race. I only ask because last time I looked in there was an issue I believe which put me off a bit.

Goldie Keith and myself had good use off drafting each other on a downhill recently. Not sure about the flats as I'm never close enough to anyone else

Yes, the drafting has got better, still not back to what it was a year ago IMHO but it works to the extent that I could sit on Goldie and shim's wheels on the stage 3 descent and there's no way I could have gone that fast on my own. This week's stage is not one where drafting would come into play but it should fit next week's stage with a lovely rolling ride around Sweden. With the league tight in various places there should be some great racing and games of cat and mouse.
Join us next Thursday, the time has changed, it's now 18:00 UK TIME. We'd love to see you again and if you give me a wheel to stay with @AAAC 76C there could be a beer in it for you.
