I've only ever seen this, superbly restored by a dairy farmer, from Calderdale (Ken Wheelwright)
It's his Leyland Beaver transporter

Plus, another, less cared for, but just as good in its own way

The Series 1, at the Eastnor Castle Land Rover Experience, was one of his restorations
He restored several, including the DEL boys (437 & 438)

Hmm:scratch:

Daughters b/f has had enough of his 110CSW already
(he only bought it in April)
I'm not sure if he expected more of it, as a 'daily driver' - which it isn't really, as they use her Kia Sportage, or his 'works van'

Perhaps this incident has coloured his judgement/sealed the deal?
Not sure what will replace it? (before the Mustang GT, & subsequent 110, he wanted a Ford Raptor)
He's apparantly decided on a replacement for the 110CSW

I'm ashamed to tell you all, but he wants a BuMW X5 :banghead:

He sold/px’d it yesterday
It was a 2013 TDCi, on Kahn wheels

I’m not certain of the figures yet, & if it was a straight swap, or extra cash on one side or the other?

But…. they’ve bought a ‘70’ plate BuMW X5:sad:

I’ve only seen a photo of it, all l can say is it looks a nice shade of blue
It’s a petrol, not a diesel…
I wonder how long it will be before they regret that decision?
(particularly when towing the caravan)

As soon as it has its first trip to the dealer, every visit will be four figures.

I got rid of my 330d touring because once any BMW reaches 5 years old they seem be programmed to go wrong.

shame as it was a lovely car.

@Gunk
4.0 (straight-6) twin-turbo
(M-sport??)
Probably more of a thirst than Oliver Reed & Richard Burton (20 gallon tank??)
Air-suspension too

Same engine as mine but twin turbo, in the X5 lucky to see 30 mpg

my single turbo 3.0d returned about 42 mpg

Dogtrousers

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Walking down the street the other day I saw a car with a Lotus badge. It was an anonymous blobby SUV.

I thought Lotuses were meant to be sexy sporty cars, not shapeless lumps.
