The Lincoln Highway. NY to San Francisco.

Hi. Having recently completed U.S. Route 66 I'm planning my next tour; The Lincoln Highway.
I've just purchased the book by author Michael Wallis(no relation!), who also wrote a superb book detailing Route 66, but has anyone else rode the Lincoln Highway? I'm Just after any usefull info.

Where did I go wrong? How come I don't have the time, or indeed the dosh, to even consider cycling across the US? That said, I did manage LEJOG this year but that was 'only' two weeks. For Route 66 you must be looking at a couple months minimum.

Hi Alan. A couple of months would have been better as little time to sight see, I done it it 25 days, doing 100 mile days. Gonna drive it next year with my parents so i can see more of the sights, such as Meteor crater, I passed by it (4 miles south of Interstate) but no time to visit. Awesome trip though, wanted to bag that one before I hit the four-0 October gone.
