As good as my Kodiaq is, it’s not got the same character as a Yeti
It has its own quirks/features, like the sliding rear-seats!
Need more luggage space, they slide forwards by about 6inch!

That said, it’s still infinitely preferable to most competitors
(especially the present LR products)

Better than a disco sport?

Not been in a disco sport but sister has your kodiaq but base spec.

James, that’s my opinion
I simply don’t like the look of any of the present range
The engineering might be there, but aesthetically they do nothing for me

The last one l’d have wanted was a Discovery 4
That said, l’d still have a Defender Tdi (1994-1998 model), or a Range Rover TDV8 (‘series 3’)

I agree disco 5 ruined it for me!
Disco 4 would be nice!

Wife stayed at a friends last night (coincidentally, they have a Karoq, but that's not the point of this)
I picker her up this morning, & she put her bag on the back seat
When she got in, she told me that she thought it had 'door-edge protectors'

I told her it did have, "Well that one's is missing"
I know they are a replaceable item, so wasn't overly worried

When we got home, she pointed at a closed door; "It's not there!"
I opened the door, as if by magic, the retracting 'protector' appeared, & wrapped around the door-edge

I've only had it since May 2021............................

A rather grimy Yeti, which I considered pointing out to SWMBO, as she has the occcasional comment about the unwashed nature of my Kodiaq

Market Place
Bedale
North Yorkshire
It was also, very interestingly running on General Grabber AT2 tyres, one of the brands/models that I have in mind for when the Michelins wear down too much on the Kodiaq

I was in Leeds earlier, as I had to go to Indespension, so on the return journey, called into DM Keith (main dealer, at Thwaite Gate), to ask about updating the SD card, for the Sat-Nav*
The young lady at the Service desk ran through a few basics, on how to do it, via the Skoda GB website (it's a free update!!!!)
She told me it takes about 5 hours to download, & then the same to the car!
I'm not sure I believe that time, given modern download speeds

Out of curiosity, I also enquired about the cost of a cambelt change (& the plastic water-pump)..................... circa £960:eek:
I think it'll go to the usual tried & trusted garage for it

They had a few Enyaq vRS's in stock
Apparently, this is the only colour, others are (payable) options!!
I'm not a fan of the shape, as it reminds me of the 'fugly' BuMW X6

It's causing a bit of a 'hoo-ha' on my FaceBook page, as I've added this photograph, & simply stated 'New Car' (& the model)
I haven't wrote that it's mine!!
(daughter likes it, but she only got a '70' plate M-B less than 3 years ago)

* I also asked at their York branch, whilst I was there last Monday (I also went to Gear 4 Music too) , the chap at their service desk didn't even mention download times, as the cards only about 64gb
I called at Thwaite Gate, in the slight hope that they'd say "Bring it in, we'll download the updates for you now" (can but try?)

The joys of keyless go, an answer to a question no one has asked.

I always make sure there’s a spare key battery in the car. One drama was enough

It’s the single most annoying thing about my Kodiaq, some days, it'll take 5 (or 6) attempts to start it :cursing:

Second is every time l see one in ‘petrol blue’, & wish it was that colour
This............
