The Colditz Story (1955).
A different age of film making and a tale of times we won't see again. Also a film about the story and not the stars.
10/10.

Flight of the Phoenix (2004).
Given the cast and the acting I expected more but it all seemed a little flat. The film looks good. Perhaps it's too much like the original movie.
Sorry, 6/10.

Seen it several times, but the scene where they're in a business meeting discussing hiring some dwarves for entertainment is side splitting. Go on Youtube and search for "Wolf of Wall Street Horny Dwarves"

Nearly every shot an oil painting, still life brought to life.

I watched it with my 11 year old daughter. Neither of us had read the book. I didn’t enjoy it, the 11 year old thought it was ok.
Jack Black was his usual self. Kate Blanchette was the stand out performance.
The storyline was very badly plotted in my opinion and the special effects could have been better.

A Netflix film about the Mossad's capture of Adolf Eichmann in Argentina.

Well worth a watch if you're interested in that part of history, 7/10.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy 2011.

Not having read the book, or seen the BBC series, I had nothing to compare it to so watched it for what it was.

To be honest I found it a bit dull, I still think the best films of this genre are The Ipcress File and The Spy Who Came in From The Cold.

I have read nothing but bad things about it, which is a shame because Venom is a character with great potential.

My general rule is that if a film has poor marketing material then the film will be duff. So far this theory is 100% correct.
