The Substance. I thought it was going to be boring, something like the devil wears prada, but I was very wrong. It is highly graphic and genuinely horrific. Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley. I've seen Qualley in other stuff and she's excellent

Denmark on Iplayer.

Nice little film. Rafe Spall as a down on his luck Welshman who comes up with a novel idea to improve his situation.

Spall possibly a bit too good looking to be entirely convincing in the role but decent unchallenging viewing for a midweek evening.

Never heard of this before! The trailer makes it look UTTERLY likable. And Joel Fry's in it; it looks like every other Joel Fry thing. Except I think he's Welsh in this. (And his other mate looks just like Geraint Thomas.)

The Danish girl he meets is rather pleasant, although as one reviewer commented, she's so immediately obvious as the love interest that she may as well have had "love interest" tattooed on her forehead!

CopLand.

An intriguing thriller with a stellar cast. Stallone really proves he can actually act, and Ray Liotta and Robert DeNiro are clearly working hard to keep up.

Throw in Rober Patrick and Harvey Keitel, a clever script, and a really unexpected climax, and this becomes one of the most underrated cop thrillers of all time.

9/10. A must-watch.
