Ballad Of A Small Player....
Netflix film starring Colin Farrell and Tilda Swinton....really enjoyed this movie, visually stunning to watch. I loved the cinematography, clothes and music. The more I watch Farrell lately I think he's class.
8/10 for me

I was on the fence about whether to watch this one.
Thanks for tipping me over onto the watch side.

Weird, chaotic, surreal but did I like it ? I think so,made me squirm and think about the film for a while anyway, great performances by Emma Stone and Jesse Plemmons.

House of Dynamite on Netflix.
Quite tense (obviously given the plot) and well done but a warning - The film leaves you to decide the outcome.

Watched this last night, really disappointed with it.
One scene that you see replayed from 3 different perspectives and no ending, should have stuck to watching Jason Statham films 🤣

Just out of the cinema, watched Predator Badlands.
A fabulous addition to the series. I did get a little irritated by the buddy buddy format. But apart from that it was a roller coaster of a movie with geat sets and action sequences and enough nods to Predator past and the Alien francise to keep fans happy.

Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere

A stunning film which I found a very hard and emotional watch. I don't know how someone who isn't a Springsteen fan would react to it. I thought it quite brilliant.

Becoming Led Zeppelin,
On Sky/Now TV, excellent insight into how the four members of the band ended up getting together, becoming The New Yardbirds, and doing a gig in Denmark, showed the Audience sat listening to Communication Breakdown, little did they know they were witnessing the birth of one of the worlds biggest rock bands, a good watch

Whilst I didn't get on with it (gave up after an hour) I'd hesitie to be too critical and think if it's the sort of film somebody likes then they'd get on with it.

An aspect I found disappointing and probably significantly spoilt it for me was the excessive "personal drama" it tried to create eg minutes before a US city is destroyed and those who need to be urgently doing something are pausing, spending an age looking at young family photos on their phone delaying them from the few minutes to prevent an all-out nuclear war.

To me the main motive of the film was the impact on a crisis on the individuals tasked with averting that crisis and that was obvious and predictable.

Good and respected director, good cast but for me just didn't work.
