I might have to watch The Devil Rides Out or Blood on Satan's Claw sharpish... seeing as we're on page 666

The Wild Goose Lake. A Chinese film noir. Motorbike gangs, death, revenge and betrayal, what could possibly go wrong? Two and a half hours of slow paced tension shot mainly in gloomy squalor, interrupted by bursts of uncompromising action shot mainly in squalid gloom. Unintended consequences all round. Great stuff but it droops a bit in the middle: 7 / 10.

Filmed in Wuhan of ll places.

Made In Dagenham,Seeing all those men and women on bikes going to and fro to work.Took me back to my teens.

Every one cycled to work.Brush Engineering were one of the largest employers in Loughborough When they left work it like a double peloton. No fancy bikes all utility stuff.Probably the hybrid of the day.

Having said that if memory serves me correctly the company had a club called Falcon named after the original name of
The factory Falcon Works.

"Porco Rosso" an utterly joyful wonder from Studio Ghibli. The title character is a seaplane pilot and bounty hunter battling pirates in the Mediterranean. Oh, and probably worth mentioning he's been turned into a pig by a curse. Explores duty, honour, love, ambition, loss, and even the rise of fascism gets a mention. Anyhow, like other Studio Ghibli films it is beautiful, magically and immensely entertaining.

Netflix seem to have a great many Ghibli films and this one just caught my eye.

So nosey, what film did you watch last night! They'll be asking for my bank details next. But since you ask, I WILL give an answer.

Last night, I paid for and watched Le Mans 66 (known as Ford Vs Ferrari in the US) and it was fantastic. Christian Bale does a superb Birmingham working-class accent and he is mesmeric. Well worth a resounding 6/10 (where 6 is the top possible score).
