I forgot that I came on here this evening to say that I bought a bag of creatine for [me to get fitter for riding] the bike. I have watched a few videos about creatine recently and wondered what it might do for me. I have been a vegetarian since 1983 so there is a good chance that I am a bit lacking in it. I also wonder if I am getting enough protein so I am thinking of boosting my protein intake too.

Errr, a whole bicycle.

A Specialized Hotrock 24 in need of a bit of TLC.

An adaptor from Gopro to a male Garmin quarter turn mount, to attach my action camera to a seatpost Varia mount to use as a rear facing camera.

Lentils, (eggs), beans, nutsand oats for protein. If you eat rice, cook it with lentils. Creatine for the oldies. (Said to help fight muscle loss)

I must start eating more lentils! I like them but rarely buy them.

I am somehow becoming a scrawny oldie (70 in January!) so a bit of nutritional help is probably a good idea.

My legs get plenty of exercise, but my upper body needs to be given a lot more work.

Try mejadra - a middle-eastern dish of fried onions, rice and spiced lentils. It's one of life's supreme comfort foods :hungry:

Both onions and lentils are prebiotics.
I eat lots of onions, garlic and chillies.

I have just added lentils to my shopping list.

PS I forgot - I had half a bag of green lentils hiding at the back of the top shelf of my kitchen cupboard... I know what I will be cooking tomorrow night! :hungry:

This has reminded me that I am getting an occasional click from the front of my best bike when I hit bumps in the road at speed. I really should try to find out what is making that noise!

If you don't I know a good dentist!🤣🤣🤣

Go rowing, that would sort the upper body ot, but you need an open stretch of water for that.
