What have you bought for the bike today ?

RAW reflective mudguard flaps for the Genesis Smithfield ebike. Not cheap at £19.99, nor quickly delivered, taking three weeks for a custom design. They do look great.

The bike, as supplied, has short mudguards that allow muck to be plastered all over the motor and my feet. With 2" tyres that's a lot of stinky grime.

Predictably they were fiddly to fit.

My back light failed last night so I ordered a replacement pair (back + front) which are due to arrive this afternoon***. That will leave me with a backup front light.

The new lights are the same type that I bought a month ago for my Devon bike. They are cheap, but are bright enough for the lit roads that I will use them on, and they look well made. TBH though, if they pack up after a couple of years use that would be okay, except for being more electrical waste to recycle.

Bought a pair of Lake wide fitting shoes from Sigma sports with various discounts down to £159 from just under £300.
Didn’t really need another pair of shoes but fancied a pair with the double boa’s, my other pair of Lakes just have singles.

I've started to wear thin my commuting socks at the toe, so I ordered a couple of pairs more on a Black Friday deal and as the inventor of Black Friday probably hoped I ordered some summer bike socks (also on a deal) and some more Squirt Lube. In case they came on a office day I got them delivered to a pick up point, typically they actually came on a WfH day and I have just been out to collect them.

I bought a Garmin Varia RTL515 on ebay for just over half the price new. It looks good and seems to be working perfectly. I am just doing a soak test to check the battery life.
