What Have You Fettled Today?

No fettling but the Brompton has picked up a slow puncture so I popped into my LBS and bought a replacement Schwalbe tube. fortunately it’s the front wheel but still far too hot today so I’ll do it at a later date, getting a Marathon on and off a Brompton is one of those jobs you need to be in the mood for.

My right cleat position didn't feel ideal on yesterday's ride. I compared it to the left's position and it was slightly different so I just mirrored the left setup. I will see if it feels better later. (I am waiting for conditions to cool and the traffic to ease.)

Meanwhile, I have been adjusting the hinges on my back door. The door hadn't been opening and closing cleanly. It is fine now.

Bought 105 shifters from aliexpress, saved a ton, seem the genuine article. Plan to swap them on next rainy day.

Spent a couple hours today cleaning up this Dahon I picked up yesterday very cheap. Cleaned the bike completely and waxed. Removed chain and thoroughly cleaned it.
Made minor adjustments to various parts. It looks and rides like new.

Not familiar with that bike, looks to be edging into 'pedal forward' territory. Anyways, nice looking machine

Just finished doing this lovely 1979 Dawes Kingpin up at work. These are fantastic bikes, and much better modding platforms than the Raleigh 20 because of their use of standard BB and headset sizes. If I didn't already have three of these this one would be coming home with me.

The picture may be deceiving, not like that at all. I get a nice upright riding position on it. Super comfortable ride.

Just finished this one, a Cube kid's bike. I was pleased with this because it was practically scrap when I started but it's finished up being pretty good.
