Lose some weight, get fitter, stronger legs...... Just the usual really.
I'd upgrade the neck while you are at it ...

I need to sort out the broken brake on my mountain bike, which has been off the, er, off road for several years now. I was never satisfied with the original brake so I think I will replace it rather than repair it. While I am at it I am seriously considering converting the bike from a 3 x 9 to a 1 x 11.

New chainset in the medium term, possibly a triple to replace the ageing double I have at the moment. Longer term, I have been toying with going from flatbar to drops, possibly a hare brained scheme.

Smash the cistern
Fork's rattling around inside the head tube so I think some sort of bearing assembly to keep it in place might be required. Oh yeah, and some wheels might be handy.

Yeah I am considering having a wider bar on my Diverge as that is going to be my touring bike really as it's comfier. I am nowhere near confident to change it myself. Plus I have had inline brakes fitted so it looks like a really awkward job to do :-(

I’ve had that done with new tape, my LBS charges about £25-30 if I supply the parts

Are you putting a different style of bar on? Still not sure why you need a wider bar unless been measured and is too narrow (seems unlikely on a men’s bike, in my size, 54, off the peg bikes come with a 42 or 44 c-c bar (I need a 40 despite being 5’10 and heavy built)

Smartening up my Specialised Rockhopper Comp circa 1988, to keep it as original as possible.

Further conversions to my Kona mtb/ hybrid conversion, fit Mary / North Road bars, a stem riser and a layback seatpost to give a more relaxed ride.

TBH - nothing

I was looking at a set of carbon rigid forks, so I could move the SID's to my One One Inbred, but the difference in weight was so negligible, that it wasn't cost effective - it would be cheaper to buy lighter forks for the Inbred instead
